California to Host Upcoming Packaging Recycling Summit

Following its initial success in Atlanta, the Packaging Recycling Summit, organized by Packaging World, is set to take place in Anaheim, California, at the JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort, from September 16 to 18, 2024. The summit aims to unite a diverse group of participants, including brands, retailers, packaging suppliers, reprocessors, and material recovery facilities (MRFs), to foster collaboration within the circular supply chain. The event will delve into the entire supply chain, focusing on recyclable materials, recycling processes, and the development of markets for recycled waste.

 

The 2023 summit saw nearly 400 attendees, both in-person and online, highlighting the event's significance in bringing together various stakeholders to discuss and collaborate on recycling initiatives.

 

Matt Reynolds, editor at Packaging World, emphasizes the Packaging Recycling Summit's (PRS) mission to transition brands from being mere creators of potentially recyclable materials to active contributors in the circular economy. The event focuses on the significance of understanding the diverse dynamics and incentives within each segment of the value chain, allowing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPGs) companies to foster a profitable circular economy that serves the interest of all involved.
